Udit obtained his undergraduate dental degree from Griffith University (QLD) in 2010, graduating with consecutive Academic Excellence awards. After working as a general dentist and then a paediatric dental resident at two major dental hospitals in Sydney (Sydney Dental Hospital and Westmead Centre for Oral Health) over three years, Udit went on to complete his specialist training and obtained his Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (Paediatric Dentistry) at the University of Melbourne (VIC). Since graduating, Udit has given lectures to numerous general dentists and oral health therapists as well as to several mothers groups on various aspects of paediatric dentistry, including chalky teeth.
Udit enjoys all things paediatric and has particular interests in the management of:
- Anxious / special needs / medically compromised patients
- Primary and permanent dental trauma
- Paediatric oral surgery
- Developmental dental defects (especially Chalky Molars)
- Dental anomalies (especially Molar Incisor Hypomineralisation)
- Early childhood caries
Udit is the current secretary of the Australasian Academy of Paediatric Dentistry. He is also a member of the Australian Dental Association (ADA), the Australian and New Zealand Society of Paediatric Dentistry (ANZSPD), the International Association of Dental Traumatology (IADT) and the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (RACDS), and The D3 Group for Developmental Dental Defects..
Udit has a calm, gentle and humorous nature that makes him great with children. In his time off, he enjoys travelling, photography, bush walking and attempting to cook gourmet food!
